| 1) | I think this one also has multiple solutions. In the upper left sudoku, in the second and third rows from the top, the first, fourth, seventh, and ninth columns collectively read 9718 8197. They could also read 8197 9718 i.e. within those four columns, flip rows three and four. Comment by: Josh. Made on the 07th Jan 2006. |

| 3) | there seems to be a couple of errors in the numbering of the grid. so far i have noticed that in the top left grid, row5 from the top, columns 6 & 7 from the left, the numbers 9 and 7 are writtin (which one should that purple block be?) the same thing happens in the top right grid, row 6 & 7, first column (green block) Comment by: Laura. | 4) | Hello Laura. Your observation is not an error. This puzzle is an easy one as it was one of the first created. Thus those squares you mentioned are in effect free squares to help you get started on the puzzle. Comment by: Daniel (Site Owner). Made on the 17th Jan 2006. |
| 5) | correct me if i'm wrong but shouldn't the total in each grid = 45 ? in the top left sudoku, middle grid on top the sum given blue block is 14. that should be 20, no? also, in a killer sudoku puzzle, the numbers in any particular block should not be repeated but i noticed this rule in not applied in your puzzles Comment by: regina. To solve the puzzle you must make sure that every column, row and 3x3 box in each larger 9x9 grid contains the numbers 1 through to 9. The colours on the puzzle are the cages which all contain a small number which is the sum total of all the squares in that caged area. (The puzzles is basically a combination of a Samurai Sudoku puzzle and a Killer Sudoku Puzzle.)
Almost all of the puzzles can be solved using logic alone and there is no need to guess. A puzzle can take from 1 hour to almost a day to complete depending on its level and your experience. More on the rules and tips for quick solving can be found here.
The puzzles along with their solutions can be found on this site.
